Changzhou International School

Changzhou International School is a key provincial school in the Xinbei district of Changzhou, Jiangsu, People's Republic of China. It has under 1,000 enrolled students from both China and abroad.

History

Changzhou International School was established in 1997 as a pilot middle school under the administration of Changzhou Xin Bei government and the Changzhou education bureau. The school was set up with an initial investment of 190,000,000 RMB.

Geography

The school sits on 12.6 hectares in Changzhou's Xin Bei district, approximately 10 km north of Changzhou city centre.

Education

The school is divided into 5 sections, namely Kindergarten, Primary school, Junior Middle School, Senior High School and International Students' Section. The school currently has under 1,000 students enrolled in the normal departments and over 150 students enrolled in the International Students section from Korea, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Jordan, Italy, Germany, and Vietnam. In addition to a large number of international students the school also employs teachers from more than ten countries.

Subjects available at Changzhou International School include Chinese, English, Mathematics, Politics, Geography, Science, Calligraphy, Art, Dance, Music and Social Studies.
